Kamano

Community guidelines

Last updated:

We are sex-positive and not explicit. This is a place for people to name how they relate, meet each other well and stay safe. These rules exist so that stays true for everyone.

What is welcome

  • Monogamous, non-monogamous and unsure. Every relationship style, named however you mean it.
  • Talking about desire, boundaries, health and consent openly and kindly.
  • Suggestive photos in your posts, shown only to the people you choose.
  • Saying no, at any time, for any reason. Saying no is always free.

PostsCan be suggestive, never explicitYour connections, with per-post and per-person controls. Never strangers

Explicit means graphic nudity or a sex act. It is removed from everywhere, and so is anything showing someone without their consent. If other people are in your photo, you confirm they agree. Anyone pictured can ask for a photo to come down.

Under 18

Nobody under 18 may use Kamano, appear in a photo or be the subject of any content. We remove such accounts and content without warning, and we report them to the authorities as the law requires. If you think someone is under 18, report them.

Money, scams and sextortion

  • No selling or buying sex, no escorting, and no soliciting money, gifts or investments.
  • No scams or romance fraud, including asking for gift cards, crypto or a transfer, and fake emergencies.
  • No threatening to share someone's private pictures, and no blackmail of any kind. If this is happening to you, see the safety page.
  • No pushing someone off the app in a first message so you can get around the rules. Share contact details when you both want to.

Being who you are

  • One account per person, with photos of you.
  • No pretending to be someone else, a celebrity or a business.
  • No spam, advertising, or automated accounts.
  • Nothing illegal.

Reporting something

You can report a message, a profile, a photo, a comment, an event or a group from the thing itself with Tell us what happened. The person you report is not told it was you. You can block them at the same moment. Blocking hides each of you from the other and they are not told. How to do both is on the safety page.

What we do about it

A report goes to a person who looks at it. Depending on what happened, we warn, remove content, suspend or close an account. We tell the member which rule and why, and they can ask us once to look again. We hold anything about a suspected child until someone has reviewed it. Staff cannot browse health information, and when a moderator opens a hidden or removed photo it is written to a log first.

Declining someone, blocking, muting or reporting never counts against you. We do not penalise people for protecting themselves.
